INTRODUCTION

I am pleased to welcome you in the Institute of Microbiology. Since its inception with the whole hearted efforts of our faculty members, staff members, students, and researchers, the Institute of Microbiology has constantly remained amaranth Institute of this university. It has unique appearance in history as grows along with university. Institute has 09 renowned research oriented Ph.D faculty members out of 12.

The Institute carries out the fundamental microbiology courses, advanced microbiology courses and multi-disciplinary research programs for the graduate and post graduate students especially in human health and its clinical aspects. More than 120 postgraduate fellows are registered and pursuing for research training in multidisciplinary fields of microbiology. Our Institute also provides the diverse and extensive research programs including Microbial Pathogenesis, Human Health, Microbial Enzymology, Environmental Microbiology, Genetic engineering, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Proteomics, Microbial Diversity, Ecology, Modern Biotechnology and so on so forth.

Laboratories in the Institute are well equipped for practical based learning. We take great pride in launching our trainees into successful and productive mainstream careers who are serving in various capacities at different private and public sector of the country and abroad.

This institute has prominent role in the development & growth of the university as it produces number of M.Phil & Ph.D. scholars each year.
